Battle of Uhud

As Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, Dear Readers, Alhmadullilah, we completed studying Al-Imran, at Qur'an Foundation. Battle of Uhud, left a very deep influence over me. I was so much reflected by it, that browsed to know more and more of this battle. Even had a discussion with a brother {khalifa bhai}. Am sorry i bothered him very much, but i wished even we women participate in such battles. I did not want to limit myselves holding just the intention --. I was advised that why do i not yearn to be "a siddiqah', which is of higher status than a shaheed ! That cooled me a bit though not contended. Hope Heena Ma'm you too are reading this. You wanted me to write articles on my own, and Battle of Uhud, made me to start up. JazakiAllahu khayr for your words of encouragement. Here i thought, i shud share few incidents from Battle of Uhud : My little lines are enclosed in brackets. Dua made by Abdullah ibn Jahsh and his friend Sa'd (radhi Allahu anhu) : {It ...

Significance of Rabi-ul-Awwal

All praise is for Allaah; we praise Him, seek His aid and forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our souls and from the wickedness of our actions. Whosoever Allaah guides, then none can misguide him and whosoever Allaah misguides, then none can guide him I received a SMS, saying, "Rabi-ul-Awwal ka mahina shuru honay wala hai. Pyare nabi S.W.S ne farmaya, jisne sab se pehle kisi ko mubarak baad di uspar dozak ki aag haram [it shud have been haraam} hai---- Duaon mein yaad rakhein. JazakAllah. This was the exact message i received. These kind of stuff is mostly forwarded these days. Spreading lies in the name of Prophet -- Astaghfirullah !! Here's an article of Mufti Taqi Usmani sahab. Also did i club little from an other site. I pray Allah swt that the bidah practised this month be shed amongst muslims. The Meaning of the Word "Rabi-ul-Awwal":- The first month of spring. Events of Rabi-ul-Awwal * The Holy Prophet migrated from Makkah to Madinah Mu...

Naming the blog as Baseerath

As Salamu Alaikum Jazakumullah for most of your responses and appreciation. I shall take them as words of encouragement. One of the sisters-in-Islam, has asked me about the name of this blog, "Baseerath" {Baseerah} . Let me clarify that this name has nothing to do with my personal attachment to it. I chose this word for its meaning. Ayah :12: 108 of the Holy Qur'an, Say: This is my way, I call upon Allaah upon Baseerah (clear evidence, sure knowledge), I and whoever follows me and free is Allaah from all imperfections and I am not of those who associate partners with Allaah. [Yoosuf 12:108] The root of this word (baseerah) is from "dhuhoor" (visibility) and "bayaan" (elucidation). The Qur’aan consists of basaa’ir (pl. of baseerah), meaning evidences, guidance and elucidation which lead to the truth and guide to right conduct. It also means, "Insight'. Moreover, Baseerath was a programme telecasted , of Dr. Israr Ahmed, who's a very influe...
