A story which I always love to read again and again

Heart touching story of Abu Bakr ( RA)💗 “You brought me dates, and you did not remove the seeds from them.” What is the secret behind the popularity of this phrase and who said it?  ‘Umar bin al-Khattab's (رضي الله عنه) attention was drawn to the fact that Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) went out to the outskirts of Madinah after Fajr prayer, entered a small house for hours, and then he goes to his own house. And ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) knew everything that Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) was doing except for the secret of this house. Days passed and the Caliph of the Believers (رضي الله عنه) is still visiting this house.  ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) still did not know what Abu Bakr was doing inside, so ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) decided to enter the house after Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) left, so that he can see with his eyes what is inside, and know what Abu Bakr does after the Fajr prayer. When ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) entered this little house, he found a decrepit old woman who could not move and had no one, and t

Anger Management

One of the emotions which we humans hold is 'Anger'. This emotion has mostly negative impact over self as well as people around us. So it is very important to control anger. Islam is a complete religion and it does teach us how to control this emotion. It is the result of  inner agitation and desire for revenge. There is a hadith wherein Prophet { Peace be on him}, adviced to control anger. Anger is a natural emotion, and we are guided through Quran and Sunnah to control it. .Anger lets us to regret later. But when we are angry, satan encourages us to extreme it and then act immoral in our anger TYPES OF ANGER There are two types of anger. The one which pleases Allah and the other which pleases satan The anger which pleases Allah is natural human emotion which we humans have no control over it. For instance, when the ummah of Musa alayhis salaam worshipped Idols, Musa was angry. But when his people repented and returned to Allah, his anger subsided and Allah Himself consoled M

Advice to parents

From the means by which a Jinn can overpower and possess the children A very important point Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: ❝Some of the foolish, ignorant people, lacking intelligence, scare their small innocent children and frighten them by saying: so-and-so will come (and take you), or so-and-so will (do such-and-such to you). So the child gets scared and this fear and anxiety remains in his heart, and this becomes permanent in his heart so that he is constantly in anxiety, fear and distress. Sometimes it is the father who scares his son and sometimes it is the mother who scares her son and daughter. But the most foolish ones are those who tell us that the when a child does something wrong (then as punishment) he should be locked inside his room, alone. And even when he shouts and screams they do not feel sorry for him nor do they open the door. And this is one of the means by which a Jinn overpowers (and possesses) the child. This was conveyed by one of the Jinns who had

Types of Children

There are 5 types of children in this world: 1. Does not do what his parents order him (this type is 'aaq - i.e. undutiful/disobedient which is one of the seven majors sins) 2. Does what his parents tell, but is displeased with it (this type does not gain any reward) 3. Does what he is told , but follows it up by raising his voice, or mentioning those favors [e.g. I have done so much for you, I am always doing 'xyz' for you. this type earns a sin) 4. Does what he is told, willingly and happily (this type is rewarded), and they are few. 5. Does what his parents want before he is even told (this is the type which is al-baar al-muwafaq i.e. dutiful and kind to his parents and is given the ability to be successful in all his affairs), and they are rare. As for the last two types, they are known as Al-Birr (the obedient) About them, don't ask about the barakah [blessings Allah puts in person's time, wealth, health, efforts etc. whereby it increases, multiplies or a lot

Beautiful lesson from the action of Bibi Hajera

Happened to go through these beautiful lessons from the action loved by Allah of Bibi Hajera. Kindly share it with other muslimahs A noble woman ran between two mountains desperately seeking water for her baby child. That action was so beloved to Allah that He made mankind do same action until the end of time.  What action was it?  She quenched the thirst of her baby child.  Do you see the reward and how much Allah loves people preferring others to themselves, serving creation, caring about others, and nurturing children? Don't ever let people make you believe that parenting isn't the greatest job in the world.  Don't let people fool you to think it's backwards or something lowly. You don't always need to pray a 1000 rak'ats daily, read a 1000 books, or live in the Mosque to be a wali. You don't have to give millions in charity or fast every day of your life to be close to Allah.  Sayyidah Hajeraؑ  teaches us that being a sincere, selfless, and devoted paren

Three levels of Fasting

"It should be known that there are three grades of fasting:  ❶ Sawm al-umūm ( ordinary fasting) means abstaining from food, drinks and sexual satisfaction. ❷ Sawm al-khusūs (specila fasting) means keeping ones's eyes, tongue, hands and feet-and all other organs-free from sin. ❸ Sawm Khusūs al-khusus (Exra -special fasting) means fasting, of the heart from unworthy concerns and worldly  thoughts in total disregard of everything but Allah.  [IMÁM al-Ghazalī |Ihya Ùlum al-Din ]

End Ramadhan with Istighfaar

by Asma bint Shameem  The beautiful month of Ramadhaan has come to an end.  Now end this amazing month of fasting and praying and Qur’aan with Istighfaar and seeking forgiveness.  That’s because seeking forgiveness after ANY act of worship is a wonderful way of smoothing out any imperfections it may have had....  It helps remove any shortcomings, any mistakes, any flaws, any weaknesses.... And that’s the reason why it’s part of our Deen to seek forgiveness after ALL acts of goodness.  Didn’t the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam seek forgiveness of Allaah three times after every Salaah? (Saheeh Muslim) Didn’t he teach us to say Istighfaar after making wudhu?  (an-Nasa’i-saheeh by al-Albaani) And after getting up from a gathering, the duaa we make also includes Istighfaar.  (Abu Dawood- saheeh by al-Albaani) After performing tahajjud, the most beloved prayer to Allaah after the five daily prayers, Allaah praises those who make Istighfaar.  (Surah adh-Dhaariyaat 51:17-18) Even after t
